Volkswagen Middle East welcomes the new 2020 Passat to the region with three offerings of different variants and prices to suit a wide range of customers. The impressive and bold new redesign offers an impactful sedan offering in the region.

Over eight years ago, Volkswagen completely overhauled the midsize sedan to include more interior space and modern comforts, combined with the company’s signature fun-to-drive nature. Building on this success, the new Passat of today offers more of what matters to the modern customer; a bold design, upgraded technology and enhanced access to convenience and driver-assistance features.

Victor Dalmau, Managing Director for Volkswagen Middle East said: “The sedan market plays an important role in this region. Last year, the previous Passat model made up nearly 20% of Volkswagen Middle East total sales, highlighting the importance of sedan in this region and that this model is a popular choice for customers and businesses alike. So we are delighted to welcome a new and upgraded Passat – one of Volkswagen’s key iconic vehicles. It allows our customers to drive a premium German-engineered car at an affordable price and has long resonated with buyers for its combination of comfort, reliability and driving dynamics.

He added: “This new model has stepped up the style factor and upgraded the technology to make it even more attractive. In addition, we’ve made desirable convenience and driver-assistance features more accessible.”

While the 2020 Passat retains the underpinnings of the previous model, it has been completely restyled. A dynamic coupe-like roofline, dramatic “tornado” line, and dominant grille give the Passat a bold new look—at once, elegant and sporty. Standard slim LED headlights and taillights, along with more prominent Passat badging that runs the width of the rear boot, giving the car a more premium look.

The 2020 Passat will be offered in a range of variants starting from the classic Trendline model which has been upgraded to include features such as eco-LED headlights and LED taillights as standard, to the Comfortline model with 17 inch alloy wheels and leather steering wheel, up to the Highline which comes with 18 inch alloy wheels as standard and leather sport seats.

Inside, the Passat combines a sophisticated new design and upgraded technology with the spacious cabin that made the outgoing model popular. The cockpit features a horizontal design, incorporating air vents that flow across the dash in a style reminiscent of premium models. A new, more contemporary instrument panel has been fitted, along with a new glass-covered infotainment touchscreen. Complementing the new interior design are new colours and premium materials.

The Passat comes in several exterior colours from Pure White, Reflex Silver metallic, Platinum Grey metallic, Deep Black pearlescent, and Tourmaline Blue metallic.
