Volkswagen Qatar.

Volkswagen’s relationship with the Middle East dates back to when the first Beetle was sold here many years ago. Since then, the brand has witnessed an exponential expansion.

In 2005 Volkswagen, Europe’s largest car manufacturer, confirmed its commitment to its customers and partners in the region with the opening of the Volkswagen Middle East Regional Office based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, overseeing 12 markets. This initiative has allowed the brand to introduce a wider variety of Volkswagen models to the region and strengthen their dedication to their patrons.

Since the opening of the regional office, Volkswagen Middle East has launched several initiatives to further enhance the brand’s position in the region. These include setting up a Regional Service Competence Center and a Regional Training Center aimed at providing improved service to their customers.

Furthermore, a 10,000 square meter Middle East Parts Centre for Volkswagen and Audi was inaugurated in 2007. The state-of-the-art warehouse facility is located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, and has improved parts availability while reducing lead times for parts ordering. The centre also serves to regulate the use of approved genuine parts as a measure towards greater vehicle safety.

For numerous motorists and their families, Volkswagen has long been an embodiment for quality and reliability. The Beetle occupies a special place in the affections of many, as does its successors, the Golf, the Passat, the Touareg, the Jetta, the Tiguan, the Eos and the Scirocco. As one commentator put it 'at some time or another, a Volkswagen model has had a part to play in the lives of almost everyone living in the Middle East region'.

Volkswagen has high hopes for the road ahead, and its sights set on rapid growth throughout the Middle East. It has laid its foundations, reinforced its position, and built on its existing alliances with its partners in the region to provide all its customers with a comprehensive range of models that signifies design innovation, precision engineering, safe, attractive and environmentally friendly cars.
